Middle Level

Middle Level (Class 5 to 8)

The students study the main subjects at the primary level along with an additional language .The three language policy of CBSE is followed by the school. Sanskrit is offered as the 3rd language at this stage. The student can choose any one of these languages at the entry level in Grade 5. There is more emphasis on written expressions of the various subjects and a detailed introduction to General Science and Social Studies i,e,. History, Geography and Civics. This makes the student understand the world around them in a broader aspect.

The students are also encouraged to learn through experimentation and practical activities, and the curriculum is based on team work. The basic concepts of Maths and Science are taught through activities in Maths and Science labs. Projects and ICT enabled learning mark this phase of studies.

  • Exploration centre - enables learners to explore activities pertaining to the concept of the day;
  • Maths centre - concepts of numbers are imparted through play-way method;
  • Construction centre - learners are provided with materials to give shape to their imagination concerning a particular concept;
  • Dramatic play area - facilitates role play of a concept with the provided materials;
  • Reading corner - presents a plethora of books based on the concept that the learner can choose to amuse himself/herself with.

The learning centres make it possible for the learners to explore and self-learn the concepts for the day. The teacher's role here is that of a facilitator who look through the smooth transition of the instructions to the knowledge acquiring process. We believe that these formative years are the strong foundation years to a flourishing and promising future.
